About Boone Valley Golf Club
Boone Valley Golf Club occupies 440 acres of former farmland in Augusta, Missouri, developed as a private club from a site chosen for its scenery and rolling character.
The project began in June 1988 with Bob Ross, a former PGA Tour professional who had served as golf professional at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis. His search for partners to build a private club drew three figures from the St. Louis business community: James L. Manion, Robert E. Saur and Jack C. Taylor.
Manion located the property, which architect P.B. Dye endorsed for the course. The land was purchased in the fall of 1989, and the club's founding membership was assembled soon afterward.
