About Minneapolis Golf Club

Founded in 1916, Minneapolis Golf Club is a private club set about seven miles west of downtown Minneapolis in Saint Louis Park. Its course dates from the Golden Age of golf architecture, with a design attributed to Willie Park Jr. and Donald Ross, and is known as a walkable, classically routed layout.

A comprehensive renovation completed in 2020 regrassed the entire course, introducing bent grass tees, fairways and greens along with a new irrigation system and improved green drainage. The work also brought thicker rough, enlarged green complexes and additional hole locations, while aiming to preserve the character of the original design.
