Oak Summit Golf Course
About Oak Summit Golf Course
Oak Summit Golf Course is a family-owned public course set on 240 acres of southeastern Minnesota countryside, about five miles south of Rochester and a quarter mile west of the Rochester International Airport.
Leon DeCook converted his farmland into a golf course beginning in 1991, aiming for a layout that would test experienced players, and the course opened in 1992. The 18-hole, par-70 design runs through rolling hills with mature trees, wildlife and established greens. Improvements over the years have included championship and senior tees, and in 2021 DeCook's sons took over the business, adding irrigation, cart paths and upgrades to apparel and clubs.
