Olivia Golf Club
About Olivia Golf Club
Olivia Golf Club traces its origins to 1927, when the Olivia Golf Course Inc. was formed, with public play beginning the following year. Before the course existed, the property served the U.S. Army as pasture for grazing horses; the building used today as the cart barn was once the stable.
The club's earlier clubhouse was relocated to Big Kandiyohi Lake in the early 1960s, where it became a cabin.
The original course was laid out with sand greens, and its routing differed from the present one: what is now the seventh hole played as the opener, and the sixth served as the finishing hole.
