Vermilion Fairways features wide, fairly flat bentgrass fairways that give players generous landing areas off the tee. The large bentgrass greens are receptive to pitch-and-run approaches and roll at a moderate speed, remaining mostly level with occasional undulations that introduce newer golfers to contoured putting. Yardage markers at 100 and 150 yards help with approach distances.
Practice options include a long driving range with multiple targets for work on tee and approach shots, plus a chipping area and putting green for the short game. Gas-powered golf carts and pull carts are available for rent, and the clubhouse serves pizza, assorted snacks, soft drinks, beer and mixed drinks.
