About Beeches Golf Club
Beeches Golf Club is an 18-hole course in South Haven, Michigan, laid out by Michigan architect W. Bruce Matthews III. The setting is a Lake Michigan resort town whose population grows through the summer months with visitors from around Michigan, Indiana and the Chicago area.
The club takes its name from the many beech trees scattered across the property. Chief among them is a large specimen standing near the clubhouse and the 18th green, which Matthews kept as both a visual and strategic centerpiece: the tree frames the closing hole along the left while water guards the right side of the approach.
