Benona Shores is a short-yardage course set near the Lake Michigan shoreline in Shelby, Michigan, making for a quicker round and more time to spend along the coast.
The property began as a 1920s fruit farm owned by Maurice and Mary Page, which grew apples, pears, peaches, apricots and plums. Acres of apple and pear trees still stand within the course and are harvested each year, and golfers are welcome to pick fruit as they play.
