Olde Mill Golf Club

Olde Mill Golf Club in Schoolcraft, Michigan, began as a nine-hole course built by Gil Stiver, with Reggie Sauger later completing the full 18 holes. The traditional layout plays 6,195 yards from the longest tees to a par of 72, with a course rating of 69.2 and a slope of 117 — a representative example of classic Midwestern golf.

Flowerfield Creek winds through the property and figures into play repeatedly: eight holes involve water in total, six of them on the back nine and two more on the front. The two nines contrast in character, with the back nine more open and exposed to the wind, while the front plays tighter, most of its holes framed by dense woodland. Numerous sand traps are placed throughout, and the course tends to play longer than its listed yardage suggests.
