Willow Wood Golf Club
About Willow Wood Golf Club
Willow Wood Golf Club is an 18-hole course that opened for play in 1998, set in rolling countryside about three miles south of downtown Portland, Michigan, and reached easily from I-96 and Charlotte Highway.
The layout was routed through rolling hills and mature woodlands by golf course architect J. John Gorney, who worked the site's natural features into the design. Play encounters creeks, wetlands and ponds, along with open meadows, gently contoured ground and several pronounced elevation changes, giving the course scenic variety and challenge for a range of skill levels.
