Ontonagon Golf Club
About Ontonagon Golf Club
Ontonagon Golf Club, in Ontonagon, Michigan, opens with a short, straight par 4 whose wide fairway plays trickier than it looks: the tee box points toward a long stand of trees that actually sits in the left rough, leaving some doubt about the correct line. A drive placed down the right side sets up a straightforward approach to a flat green.
The second is a short, downhill par 3, where bunkers flanking both sides of the green call for an accurate tee shot. Another hole doglegs to the right with trees lining both sides of the fairway, putting a premium on placement; a drive carried to the corner leaves roughly 120 yards into a large green and a realistic birdie chance.
