About Spring Meadows Country Club
Spring Meadows Country Club traces its origins to 1955, when club president Bob McInnes and a group of local residents formed a committee to create a golf and country club on Flint's west side, as no such club existed in the area at the time.
In 1956 the group acquired 245 acres of cornfield and pasture land near the Village of Linden. The golf course architecture firm of Packard and Wadsworth was engaged to lay out plans for both the recreational and residential portions of the property. By 1957, enough capital had been secured to form the Linden Knoll Realty Company, named for a development plan that called for roughly 125 home sites surrounding the course.
