Richmond Forest Golf Course
About Richmond Forest Golf Course
Richmond Forest Golf Course is a public layout in Lenox Township, Michigan, about 30 miles north of Detroit. Designed by Bruce Matthews III, it opened for play in June 1994.
The par-72 course measures roughly 6,700 yards and is routed through a mix of ponds, woodland and open ground. Eight holes sit alongside one of the property's seven ponds, while nine play through stands of beech, oak and maple. A total of 46 bunkers add challenge for stronger players, though wide fairways and large bent grass tees set at varied lengths leave options for golfers of all abilities. An extensive drainage system helps keep the course playable in wet conditions.
