Macatawa Golf Club
About Macatawa Golf Club
Macatawa Golf Club sits near the shores of Lake Michigan in Holland, on a course designed and shaped by architect Ray Hearn. Hearn's stated approach is to let each course keep its own identity and stay true to the land it occupies rather than bear a recognizable signature style.
The layout is known for playing differently from day to day depending on conditions. Large, fast, undulating greens, strategically placed bunkering and distinctive water features define the challenge, while five sets of tees stretch the course from about 5,000 yards to more than 7,000, accommodating a range of abilities and still testing low-handicap players. Course conditioning is overseen by superintendent Kevin Haack.
