The Captain's Club Golf & Event Center
About The Captain's Club Golf & Event Center
The Captain's Club is named for Raymond Floyd, who captained the 1989 Ryder Cup team and whose playing career included victories at the 1976 Masters, the 1986 U.S. Open and the PGA Championship in 1969 and 1982. Floyd was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1989.
The connection goes beyond the name: Floyd and his design team laid out the 18-hole course themselves, with Floyd taking a hands-on role in shaping the routing. Drawing on his experience of courses around the world, the design spreads across land in both Genesee and Oakland counties. The property also operates as an event center.
