Alpine Golf Club
About Alpine Golf Club
Alpine Golf Club opened in 1967 as the first course designed by architect Mark DeVries, who went on to create some 20 facilities in the Grand Rapids area before his death in 2012; his final design was Boulder Creek. The course occupies 120 acres just north of downtown Grand Rapids.
The club's first greens superintendent, Larry Murphy, helped build the course and oversaw its grow-in and long-term maintenance. His son Mark, who brings 40 years of experience as a superintendent, has since taken over care of the grounds.
