Firefly Golf Links dates to the early 1930s, making it the oldest golf course in Clare County. It was expanded to 18 holes in 1992.
The layout runs through gently rolling woodlands, with bluegrass fairways, demanding greens and water in play on 13 holes, presenting a test for a range of handicaps. Wildlife is a regular part of a round, with white-tailed deer, blue heron, wild turkeys, turtles and other animals often seen on the property.
The clubhouse houses the pro shop and the Brassie Lounge, which serves a sandwich menu along with cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks.
