About Mingo Springs Golf Course
Mingo Springs Golf Course is an eighteen-hole course in Rangeley, Maine, bounded by Route 4, Proctor Road and the Mingo Loop, and set in mountain air at nearly 1,800 feet above sea level.
Its history reaches back to the 1920s, when a group of private individuals bought the 1801 Pillsbury Farm in the hills above Rangeley Lake, built a private lodge now known as the Country Club Inn, and carved a nine-hole course from the farm's rolling hay fields. Known then as the Rangeley Lakes Country Club, those holes form today's front nine. The nearby Mingo Springs Hotel operated nine competing holes of its own. In 1968 local and seasonal residents bought the hotel's nine, and in 1971 the group acquired the Country Club nine as well, combining the two into a single eighteen-hole layout.

The course has been owned and run by the Chodosh family for more than forty years, with three generations having learned the game on its fairways.
