About Frye Island Golf Club
Frye Island Golf Club is a nine-hole course laid out so that it can also be played as a full eighteen. Four sets of tees are set on each hole, giving golfers of varying ability a round that stays playable while still offering a test.
Golfers playing eighteen typically use the Gold tees for the first nine and the Silver tees for the second, which changes the look and angles of each hole the second time around and allows scores to be posted for handicap purposes in more than one configuration. Total yardage across the four tee sets ranges from about 5,302 to 6,284 yards for eighteen holes, and players are encouraged to choose a set suited to their game in keeping with the USGA's Play It Forward guidance.
