Dutch Elm Golf Course in Arundel, Maine, features a layout that mixes uphill approaches, tree-lined fairways, water and well-placed bunkering.

The opening hole is an uphill 365-yard par 4 with a water hazard along the left that also crosses the fairway about 100 yards out from the white tees. The green slopes from left to right, so approaches favor the left side.

The fourth is a 462-yard par 5 that bends slightly left, with trees framing the fairway and sand bunkers short of the green on both sides. It is followed by a second consecutive par 5 at the fifth, which plays tougher, particularly from the green and red tees. Water sits to the right roughly 220 yards from the white tees, and two bunkers guard either side of a two-tiered green, where a back pin position calls for additional club.
