About Country Club of Maryland
Construction of the course in Towson began in 1923, and the club officially opened in 1925 under the name Rogers Forge Golf Club. It was renamed Terra Mariae Country Club in 1940, and became the Country Club of Maryland in February 1941.
The club has a long history tied to its fairways, greens and clubhouse, and a Centennial Committee has researched and published articles documenting its past in preparation for the club's 100th year.
