TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm
About TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm
TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm is a private club set on 220 acres of rolling, wooded countryside in Montgomery County, Maryland, less than 20 miles from Washington, D.C.
Formerly known as TPC Avenel, the championship course was a regular PGA TOUR venue, hosting events including the Kemper Open, the FBR Capital Open and the Booz Allen Classic. A major renovation in 2008, carried out under PGA TOUR Design Services, produced a substantially different layout that emphasizes the natural contours of the land, with bentgrass tees, fairways and greens, fescue roughs and Scottish-style bunkering.

The reworked course was introduced to the professionals in 2010 with the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, a PGA TOUR Champions major, and it later staged the Quicken Loans National in 2017 and 2018.
