About Clustered Spires Golf Club
Opened in 1991, Clustered Spires Golf Club was the first public golf course in Frederick County, Maryland. The layout occupies 185 acres of former dairy farmland along the Monocacy River, which wraps around three sides of the property and gives the course a secluded, rural feel. Its name refers to the five historic church steeples that rise above the Frederick City skyline.
The course was designed by Ault Clark with the goal of creating a championship layout playable by golfers of all abilities. From the forward and middle tees it plays as an approachable round, while the back tees stretch to nearly 7,000 yards for a sterner test.
