Among them is a version of a 17th hole tied to several memorable finishes: Francis Ouimet's birdie there in the final round of the 1913 U.S. Open, which forced the playoff he went on to win; the closing-round trouble that cost Arnold Palmer and Jackie Cupit in the 1963 U.S. Open, won in a playoff by Julius Boros; and Justin Leonard's long birdie putt that sealed the 1999 Ryder Cup for the United States.
