Bowie Golf Club

Bowie Golf Club is a public course in Bowie, Maryland, where the staff emphasizes a relaxed, service-oriented atmosphere for visiting golfers.

The property carries a long agricultural history. In the 1700s the land formed part of a 600-acre horse farm known as Peachtree Estates. Over the following century, family members and relatives divided the holding and sold most of it off as farmland.

By the late 1800s, roughly 175 acres belonged to the Maenner family, who worked the land as farmers. Many of their children were born in the masonry farmhouse that dates to 1727, a building recognized on the state's historic rolls.
