River Run Golf Club & Community
About River Run Golf Club & Community
River Run is a Gary Player design in Berlin, Maryland, laid out to reward course management as much as ball-striking. The front nine plays relatively open off the tee, while the back nine turns into stands of timber with tighter targets that put a premium on positioning.
Five sets of tees allow golfers of differing abilities to find a comfortable length, and the routing keeps lower handicaps thinking throughout the round. Generous landing areas are mixed with holes that call for discipline and careful shot selection, giving the layout a strategic character without becoming overly penal.
