Tekoa Country Club
About Tekoa Country Club
Tekoa Country Club began as a four-hole golf course on Western Avenue, one of the earliest courses in Western Massachusetts, and was open to the public from the outset.
A grand clubhouse was later added to the property, which at the time was owned by Westfield State University, and the addition transformed the site into a country club.
Course designer Donald Ross subsequently redesigned the layout and expanded it to nine holes. Five of those Ross holes survive today — now playing as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 14th and 15th — and their original character has been preserved through the various updates made to the course over the years.
