About Kettle Brook Golf Club
Kettle Brook Golf Club occupies 213 acres in Paxton, with much of the property bordered by the Kettle Brook Reservoir, which is owned by the city of Worcester. The land was bought from a trust in 1996 by Robert Moss, and after local, state and federal permitting, construction began in 1997 under architect Brian Silva. The first 12 holes opened for play in May 1999, with the remaining six following that August. A snack bar was added in April 2000 and the clubhouse opened in May of the same year.

The site has a long agricultural past. Thomas and Margaret Ahearn, who emigrated from Ireland in the early 1860s, purchased a 35-acre portion of the land in 1866, replacing the original apple trees with a range of crops; the farm later grew to more than 200 acres.
In January 2008 the course was acquired from Moss by the Marrone family of West Boylston, who have also owned and operated Wachusett Country Club since 1939.
