Green Harbor Golf Club
About Green Harbor Golf Club
Green Harbor Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in Marshfield, Massachusetts, set between Boston and Cape Cod. It has been owned and managed by the same family for four generations and opened in 1971.
The property's history dates to 1965, when the Francis family bought land in Marshfield and established a turf farm to develop their own Vesper Velvet bent grass, a velvet-greens turf valued for consistent putting surfaces and used on private courses. When the course opened six years later, it was built with those same greens.

The layout pairs wide fairways, approachable for newer players, with demands on shot accuracy that test lower handicaps; the course record stands at 67. Water comes into play on seven holes, and numerous bunkers and demanding pin positions add to the challenge. The course is walking only, in keeping with a traditional style of play.
