About Cohasset Golf Club
Cohasset Golf Club is a private club in Cohasset, Massachusetts, built around an 18-hole course attributed to Donald Ross. Evidence suggests Ross's involvement began around 1909, which would place Cohasset among his earliest independent designs; he later expanded the original nine holes to 18 in 1920.
The layout seen today was restored by Ron Prichard in 1999–2000 and reflects familiar Ross characteristics, mixing short and long par 3s, par 4s and par 5s so that most parts of the game come into play. Fairways reward approaches played from the preferred side, and the original Ross greens place a premium on putting.
