About Oak Harbor Golf Club
Oak Harbor Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout in Slidell that opened in 1992 and has built a reputation for course conditioning and attentive service.
The course was designed by Lee Schmitt, formerly one of Pete Dye's lead designers, and the Dye influence shows: wide landing areas framed by mounding and native grasses, lakes in play, and greens edged with railroad ties. Each hole presents a different problem, and several risk-reward holes can swing a scorecard.

It measures 6,885 yards from the back tees and 6,221 yards from the whites, favoring strategy and shotmaking over raw length off the tee. Among the notable holes are the 167-yard 7th and the 174-yard, par-3 15th, both requiring a tee shot over water to a large green bordered by railroad ties.
