About Timberlane Golf & Recreation
Timberlane Golf & Recreation opened in 1959 as Timberlane Country Club and has been part of the greater New Orleans golf scene ever since. The course was laid out by architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and plays to more than 7,100 yards across gently contoured ground.
The oak trees planted along the fairways when the course first opened have since matured, and they now frame and define many of the holes. Four sets of tees accommodate a range of abilities, while 17 water hazards and 80 bunkers shape the strategy from start to finish. Ongoing maintenance and periodic updates over the decades have kept the layout playable while retaining its original character.
