About Paxton Park Golf Course
Paxton Park is an 18-hole golf course in Paducah set on gently rolling ground, with three large lakes bringing water into play on seven holes. The greens are Champion ultradwarf bermuda, chosen for its heat tolerance and fast, true putting surfaces, while tee boxes are a mix of zoysia and bermuda. Four sets of tees are offered on every hole. Fairways are primarily bermuda, with zoysia installed in sections of six fairways in 2014.

The original layout was designed by George Davies, a native of Liverpool, England, who supervised construction of the course in 1939 and 1940. Davies built at least 40 courses over the course of his career. Paxton Park has undergone several significant renovations since then, though much of his original routing remains in place.
