About Hillcrest Golf Course
Hillcrest Golf Course traces its origins to the late 1930s, when the Owensboro Jaycees bought the Whitely Deer Farm and built the course on the site. The City of Owensboro leased and ran the course from the Jaycees beginning in 1954, then purchased the property outright in 1969.
The course remains a nine-hole municipal layout open year-round. Fairways and tees are planted in bermuda grass, with bent grass greens. Practice facilities include a putting green and a chipping green, and there is a pro shop on site.
