About Raven Rock Golf Course
Raven Rock is an 18-hole course in southeastern Kentucky, built as part of a strip mine reclamation project covering roughly 2,000 acres. It opened in 1995 with nine holes and was expanded to its full length eight years later, constructed by TECO Coal on land returned to woodland after its coal-mining past.
Set among reclaimed terrain, the layout has broad fairways edged with prairie grass that give it an open, links-like character. Elevations on the property reach nearly 3,000 feet around a dramatic quarry, and the course looks out over a quiet valley.
A pro shop on site carries equipment and apparel from brands including Nike, Titleist, Srixon and Callaway.
