About Indian Hills Country Club
Indian Hills Country Club was founded in 1956 as a member-owned club built around a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It began as a nine-hole course, with a small farmhouse between what are now the 10th and 12th greens serving as the original clubhouse. Early membership materials promoted hiking, picnicking and outdoor dancing alongside golf. Longtime members recall gathering with wheelbarrows and buckets to clear burr rock from the fairways, a task repeated when the second nine was completed in the 1960s. Native American artifacts were uncovered during each stage of the course's construction.

Golf course architect William B. Langford laid out the existing 18-hole design in 1956, though the full course did not open until the mid-1960s. Rolling terrain and tree-lined fairways shape the round, with sloping landing areas, notable elevation changes and bunkering placed to test shot selection. A driving range sits near the former farmhouse site.
