About Bardstown Country Club at Maywood
Bardstown Country Club at Maywood is a demanding test, stretching beyond 7,200 yards from the championship tees. Five sets of tees allow players of varying ability to find a comfortable starting point.
The course opened in 1995 to a layout drawn by golf architect David Pfaff of Carmel, California. In 2003 Chris Osborne and his family took over ownership and launched an extensive renovation program covering both the course and the clubhouse. Spencer Holt, who trained under designer Arthur Hills and whose work includes Half Moon Bay and The Cardinal Club, was brought in to guide the changes. Working with the Osborne family, Holt reshaped bunkers, tee boxes and several greens, while a number of holes were lengthened.
