About Quail Ridge Golf Course
Quail Ridge Golf Course is a public course located about a mile south of Winfield on US 77. Designed by Tulsa architect Jerry Slack, it opened in 1992 and is maintained under course superintendent Jeremy Birdwell.
The layout puts a premium on accuracy. Its toughest hole, the No. 3 handicap, carries water along the left that cuts across the fairway roughly 270 to 300 yards from the tee, with rough, sand, trees and native grass waiting to the right and a landing area only about 25 yards wide. Another demanding test is a par 3 of 180 to 205 yards that requires a carry over water to a deep, undulating green flanked by bunkers, with water right and out of bounds left.
