About Colbert Hills Golf Course
Colbert Hills was designed by PGA Tour winner Jim Colbert together with architect Jeff Brauer. Colbert, who was runner-up at the NCAA championship while playing for Kansas State, worked a nod to his alma mater into the fifth hole, where the bunkering is shaped like a wildcat paw print in tribute to the school's mascot.
The public layout pairs strategic hazards with wide fairways and large greens that average more than 7,000 square feet, making it demanding but manageable. Rolling terrain opens up views across the Flint Hills, with native prairie tallgrass framing the holes.

The course serves as home to the Kansas State men's and women's golf teams and also hosts the First Tee of Manhattan, including the Earl Woods National Youth Golf Academy. It is named for Tiger Woods' father, who was born in Manhattan, played baseball at Kansas State and was the first Black baseball player in the former Big Seven conference.
