Buffalo Dunes Golf Course
About Buffalo Dunes Golf Course
Buffalo Dunes is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Garden City, Kansas, measuring 6,806 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 72.5 and a slope of 124 on bluegrass turf.
The course opened in 1976 and has been developed gradually over the decades. A course-wide renovation led by current superintendent Clay Payne is scheduled for completion in 2026, marking the layout's 50th anniversary. Trees are sparse across the property, leaving play largely exposed to the southern Kansas wind, and the layout presents a challenge for beginners and experienced golfers alike.
