About Maxwelton Golf Club
Maxwelton Golf Club takes its name from the old Scottish ballad "Maxwelton by the Sea." The course was commissioned in the mid-1920s by a Scottish immigrant, with construction starting in 1928 and play beginning in 1930. The original push-up greens were shaped naturally, using teams of mules.
The layout reflects traditional Scottish design, with rolling fairways, notable elevation changes and small, undulating greens. Accuracy, strategic thinking and reliable putting count for a great deal here. For more than 75 years the course has served golfers from Kosciusko and neighboring counties.
