Blackthorn Golf Club
About Blackthorn Golf Club
Blackthorn Golf Club is a Dr. Michael Hurdzan design that opened in August of 1994. The course occupies a rolling, naturally contoured 226-acre site that is heavily wooded, with an Irish-cottage style clubhouse overlooking the grounds.
The par-72 layout measures 7,136 yards from the back tees and offers four sets of tees to suit a range of abilities. Wide fairways are framed by 78 bunkers, wetlands, ponds and native prairie grasses, leading to bentgrass greens with subtle contours and swept-up tiers.
The practice area covers two acres of bentgrass teeing ground with target greens, plus a short-game space for putting, chipping and bunker play.
