Buffalo Trace Golf Course
About Buffalo Trace Golf Course
Buffalo Trace Golf Course is a municipal layout set about half a mile north of downtown Jasper in Southern Indiana. It plays to a par of 71 over nearly 6,000 yards and is suited to a range of skill levels.
The course was built in two stages by two architects. William Newcomb designed the front nine in 1970, an open and relatively forgiving stretch where scoring opportunities come early. Gary Kern added the back nine in 1988, routing it through the rolling hills and tree-lined corridors typical of the region and asking for more careful course management and sharper short-game play.

Snacks and alcoholic beverages are sold at the clubhouse, and golfers may bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Sultan's Run is close by, and the French Lick Golf Resort is less than a 40-minute drive away, which makes the course a practical stop for visiting players as well as local ones.
