About Sahm Golf Course
Sahm Golf Course sits on the northeast side of Indianapolis, just off I-465 and Allisonville Road near Castleton. The course was originally known as North Eastway, a name given by the city of Indianapolis, and was designed in 1963 by Pete and Alice Dye. It stands as one of Pete Dye's earliest projects, following a nine-hole layout at El Dorado (now Royal Oaks) and an 18-hole course built for the University of Michigan.

The 18-hole, par-70 layout runs through tree-lined corridors and finishes at large, well-kept greens that place a premium on putting and short-game play.
Practice and amenities include a driving range open until dark, with a snack bar there serving drinks and snacks, plus a main snack bar offering beer. PGA staff are on site, and the course hosts lessons, leagues and group outings.
