Old Capital Golf Club

Old Capital Golf Club traces its origins to 1946, when it opened as a nine-hole, member-owned course called the Corydon Country Club. The charter members purchased the land and built both the course and the clubhouse, handling upkeep of the property themselves. Golf carts arrived in the mid-1960s, beginning with a few owned privately by members before the board bought a small fleet of its own.

In 1995 the membership acquired more land and built a second nine, expanding the layout to 18 holes with a par of 72. Three years later the club was bought by Douglas T. Breeden and Mark B. Wiseman, both long-time area residents, who renamed it Old Capital Golf Club. Memberships at several levels remain available, and the course is also open to public play.
