About Harrison Lake Country Club
Harrison Lake Country Club opened for play in 1947, with an original layout designed by Bob Simmons and Gary Kern that served members through 2020. The course record on that earlier design was held by Jeff Overton, an Indiana University graduate and former PGA Tour professional.
A decision was made in 2019 to fully rebuild the course and its practice grounds. Tim Liddy, who spent 29 years as Pete Dye's principal assistant, took on the redesign. Much of the original routing through the rolling hills of south central Indiana, west of Columbus and near Brown County, was retained, though the course now looks and plays quite differently.

The short-game area was rebuilt in spring 2020, followed by the relocation of the driving range and the renovation or addition of holes 14 through 17 later that year; both practice areas opened in 2021. Work on the remaining 14 holes and the putting green began in May 2021, finished that fall, and the course reopened in August 2022. The club remains closely tied to the surrounding Harrison Lake neighborhood.
