Stone Crest Golf Community in Bedford, Indiana, is built around three distinct nine-hole courses, each with its own character.
The North Course is regarded as the most demanding of the three, with bermuda grass fairways and bent grass tees and approach areas. Its closing hole is a long, narrow dogleg left that ranks among the tougher holes in southern Indiana.
The East Course is the longest of the three nines and runs alongside the community's residential development. Water comes into play frequently, and the routing includes two difficult par 5s and two notable par 3s, with the black tees on the eighth suited to longer hitters. The West Course opens with a par 5 and plays through open terrain framed by hills and farmland; its final four holes bring tougher greens and approach shots, balancing the more relaxed stretch that precedes them.
