Black Sheep Golf Club
About Black Sheep Golf Club
Black Sheep Golf Club sits in Sugar Grove, Illinois, in Chicago's western suburbs. Construction began in 2000, and both the club and its course opened for play in 2002.
The design follows the tradition of classic inland links courses such as Shinnecock Hills, Prairie Dunes and Sand Hills.
The idea for the club took shape in the fall of 1999, when a small group of golfers set out to create a course playable by golfers of all abilities, with a casual, unpretentious atmosphere among members and friends rooted in the traditions of the game.
