About Shamrock Golf Course
Shamrock Golf Course was laid out by golf course architects and built in 1962, carved from a dense stand of old forest. Mature oak, hickory and maple trees were preserved along the fairways, giving the course established natural hazards from the outset.
The near-regulation layout sits on rolling terrain beside the Kankakee River. Water diverted from the river winds through the property, adding both scenery and a test of the golfer's shotmaking.
