About Macktown Golf Course
Macktown Golf Course in Rockton is one of three golf courses operated within the forest preserves of northern Illinois, alongside The Ledges and Atwood Homestead. Each of the three has its own distinct design, and all are set within preserve land, making them accessible to golfers from southern Wisconsin and the wider Chicago area.
The course is open for play from April through the end of October. Golf outings and leagues are held at the preserve courses during the season, so calling ahead for tee times is advised. Season passes are available.
