Rock River Gap
About Rock River Gap
Rock River Gap, previously Rock River Country Club, is a public course in Rock Falls, Illinois. Its original nine holes date to 1913 and look out over the Rock River, playing to 2,700 yards and a par of 34 across a tree-lined layout with small greens.
The back nine, added in the late 1960s, is a different proposition: 3,200 yards, par 36, with larger greens and sand bunkering. Holland Creek winds through this side and comes into play on seven of the nine holes. The contrast between the two nines gives the round the feel of playing two separate courses.
